logan’s practice is built upon sidewalk cracks, metal hardware, the light which shines through open windows, and the unrelenting practice of noticing.
through using abstract organic forms and shapes, they have developed a personal language based upon the practice of asemic writing, which aims to emulate their perceived world. this language, both 3d and drawn, serves as an affective mode to relate perception, comments on gender, intuition and world building, and other repeated motifs.
their multi-disciplinary approach combines many mediums into a synthesis which emphasizes environment, with their practice meant to be percieved as many parts to a whole: the thread which pulls, knots, wraps, or confines.
logan has a decade worth of black and white darkroom experience, and this way of seeing--high contrast, black and white, negative and postive, and through the distortion of lenses and mirrors--has had a lasting influence on their work.
mostly, they like to just scribble.
